How to Fest
Just a quick peek at the 2008 IFFBoston schedule will tell you that there is plenty to see and do. No need, however, to feel overwhelmed—here are three easy tips to help you shape your Festival experience:
Check Out Our Menu!
The IFFBoston programmers work hard all year to ensure the highest-quality lineup of films, the hottest selection of venues, and the most talented filmmakers and industry guests. Take advantage of their research!
Maximize Your Access!
With so many choices and so much audience buzz, why not give yourself the freedom to be flexible? IFFBoston proudly offers three different Festival passes designed to help you follow your instincts—and your impulses! Choose the access package that’s right for you!
Film Pass: When the fellow film fanatic standing behind you at the concession stand just can’t stop talking about the feature he saw an hour ago, the Film Pass becomes your best friend. All the movies you want, any which-way you care to schedule them. It’s cinema bliss!
Party Pass: The Festival is not over when the credits roll. Don’t miss out on your chance to mix and mingle with IFFBoston’s exceptional filmmakers and contributors. The Party Pass enables you to rub elbows with industry insiders and cinephiles at some of the Boston area’s hottest nightspots.
All-Access Chrome Pass: It’s the ultimate! All the films, all the parties. The Chrome Pass puts you in the driver’s seat with 100% control over your Festival experience.
Plan Ahead!
With so much going on, it’s no surprise that public demand may exceed our supply. Space for all of our screenings is limited, and we encourage you to make sure you’re never left out in the cold. Remember:
Seating can only be guaranteed until 15 minutes prior to a screening’s scheduled start time. At this point, rush ticket sales begin and pass-holders may not be accommodated. So don’t be late!
Advance ticket sales are an ideal way to avoid unpleasant surprises. Buy tickets now, or come see us at the box office of the Somerville (starting Monday April 21), Coolidge Corner (starting Thursday April 24), or Brattle Theatre (starting Friday April 25).
For last-minute decisions regarding what to see, all hope is not lost! Look for our rush ticket line. A certain number of seats at each screening are reserved for pass-holders, but we will begin releasing them to rush buyers 15 minutes before the film starts.
It goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway: we are enormously excited for Independent Film Festival Boston 2008, and we can’t wait to see you there!
